In Guatemala, 88% of crimes against women and children go unprosecuted. This include kidnapping, rape, and murder.
The situation for women in Guatemala is bleak. Domestic and sexual violence are common, educational opportunities are limited, abandonment is frequent, and desperation is pervasive. They are literally crying out for help and no one is responding. But the Bible is clear about what we must do.
You can be the rescuer, the protector, and the defender.

Rescuing a woman not only rescues her, but often rescues her children and the community she lives in. The women we serve receive discipleship, psychological care, job training, educational opportunities, and the opportunity to launch their own business.
